Vileda Professional receives award for eco-design & innovation for environmental sustainability in the sector of Professional Cleaning.

The Clean Green Afidamp Award is an annual award given to products, systems or services of the professional and industrial cleaning sector having a strong environmental vocation. AfidampFAB is the Italian association of producers of machinery, products and tools for the industrial cleaning. AfidampFAB has as a primary objective the development of the cleaning sector and is asking all the players for greater responsibility and sensibility in the research for sustainability and ethic effort.
The decision of creating an award tied to the environment comes from the will of sensitizing the companies operating in the cleaning sector to respect the environment and the concept of sustainability. Afidamp believes that the environment is a surplus value for the companies.
We are therefore proud to announce that Vileda Professional won the Clean Green Award 2011 for our 100% Evolon®microfiber cloths: NanoTech micro, QuickStar micro, MicroSmart and MicroRoll.

Harri Piiparinen has been nominated to the position of CEO/President of Marino-Vileda Professional

Effective May 2010, Harri Piiparinen is the newly elected CEO of Marino Manufacturing.

Harri comes from Finland but has also worked and lived in Sweden and Germany. Harri has worked at Freudenberg/Vileda Professional since 1993. He was this company's first employee in Finland and has handled several positions in sales and marketing at local, regional and international levels. For the past seven years Harri has been leading the Vileda Professional business in Northern Europe.

He is 49 years old and has a wife and two sons. Harri has been involved with ice hockey for 45 years; first as a player and then for the last 23 years coached junior teams in all age groups – his latest team in the last season was U-18 team Kiekko-Espoo .

The Marino-Vileda Professional team here in North America is very excited to have Harri joining them and are certain that his past experiences and leadership skills will be extremely beneficial for the company moving forward.

Harri is replacing Peter Erikson who has worked for Marino-Vileda Professional since the acquisition in 2007, and who will return to Europe to continue his career with the Freudenberg group of companies.
