It is with great enthusiasm and pride that the Marino family announces today a strategic alliance between S. Marino Manufacturing Ltd. and Vileda Professional.
Vileda Professional, a division of the German company Freudenberg Haushaltsprodukte KG, is a world leader in providing professional sanitary products. The Freudenberg Group is a diversified family company and consists of 15 Business Groups operating independently in various markets all over the world, with activities in filters, nonwovens, release agents, lubricants, system & tool engineering and many other areas. The group has around 32,000 employees in 53 countries and the sales overpass 5 billion euro in 2006.
We would like to stress that this alliance will reinforce and further improve the service levels you have become accustomed to receiving from S. Marino Manufacturing Ltd.
The family, which will retain a 20-percent share, will remain active in the company with four persons Gabriel Marino, Franca Marino, Elio D’Alessio &Marilu D’Alessio, in key positions. Peter Erikson, currently General Manager of the Professional division of Freudenberg Haushaltsprodukte KG in the Nordic countries will be appointed General Manager of Marino Manufacturing and will lead the integration of the company. Sam Marino, previously the company’s President and founder, will remain active as an adviser to the company
